Your Stratco Corrugated Garden Bed is designed to be flexible, durable and incredibly easy to assemble. Whether you're building a single rectangular bed or getting creative with multiple kits, these modular panels let you design a shape that fits your space perfectly.
In the video above, we walk you through assembling two beds to create an L-shaped garden design. Below is a simple breakdown of the steps so you know what to expect before you start your own project.
Before You Start: What’s in the Box
Each garden bed kit includes:
- Corrugated Panels (long and short)
- Corner Panels
- Bolts
- Wing Nuts
Before getting started:
- Read through the instructions
- Lay out all the parts so you can clearly see what you’re working with
- Check that all fasteners are included
- Decide on your final design layout (straight, L-shape, U-shape, etc.)
If you’re combining multiple boxes, laying everything out first is especially helpful to avoid mixing up panels.
Safety First
- Gloves
- Safety glasses
If you’re outdoors, consider a hat and sunscreen.
Tools You’ll Need
- Phillips-head screwdriver
- Pliers
Step 1: Start With Your First Corner
- Take one short panel and a corner piece.
- Overlap the panel and corner so the pre-drilled holes line up.
- Insert a bolt through the hole and secure it with a wing nut.
- Repeat for the remaining holes on that corner.
This forms the first anchor point of your bed.
Step 2: Attach the Second Panel
Next, attach another panel (either long or short, depending on your chosen design) to the other side of the same corner piece.
- Line up the holes
- Insert the top bolt first
- Add the bottom bolt
- The middle holes will naturally line up
Step 3: Join a Long and Short Panel
No matter which design you choose, you’ll eventually join a long panel to a short panel.
To get the best alignment:
- Clip the panels together.
- Insert the top bolt first.
- Insert the bottom bolt second.
- Finish by tightening the middle bolts.
This top-bottom-middle sequence is shown in the video and makes the alignment much easier.
Step 4: Assemble Additional Corners
- Keep the bolts on the inner fold of the corner piece.
- This keeps the look consistent and ensures the top edges line up neatly.
- Secure all four bolts for each corner.
Repeat this around the garden bed until your full design takes shape.
Step 5: Complete the L-Shaped Design (or Your Preferred Shape)
In the example video, two kits are combined to build an L-shape. Once all panels and corners are connected:
- Check that all bolt holes are filled
- Make sure the shape matches your planned layout
- Make adjustments before the final tightening
With two kits, you can build more than 20 possible shapes — the L-shape is just one option.
Step 6: Final Tighten
- Go around the entire structure.
- Tighten every bolt using your screwdriver and pliers.
- Check for squareness and alignment.
This locks everything together and ensures the bed is solid and ready for soil.
